SUMMARY

The company prefers a local candidate that is available to be in the office occasionally, but they will consider a remote opportunity for a qualified candidate. The Sales Representative is the first point of contact for potential new clients. The Sales Representative has an important role in representing PeriShip and building a relationship of trust with our customers. Key to being successful in this role is the ability to have a focused attention to prospecting new contracts and using PeriShip’s suite of tools to engage those contacts. The Sales Representative will sell and reinforce the PeriShip competitive value proposition in every interaction with shippers, recipients, and partners.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required of the Sales Representative:

  • Manage lead flow to ensure timely contact with new potential clients
  • Manage sales pipeline, forecast monthly sales and identify new business opportunities
  • Achieve assigned sales KPI and Lead Qualifications
  • Excellent sales skills with the ability to overcome customer objections and present a clear value to the customer on PeriShip’s solution
  • Build trusted customer relationships to ensure excellent service
  • Utilize CRM to ensure activities are documented properly, opportunities are forecasted accurately and adequate information regarding the prospect and/or opportunity is communicated
  • Flexibility in work schedule, including weekends and evenings
  • Performs other duties as required


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·        Bachelor’s degree preferred

·        Two to four years of prior sales experience, B2B high volume phone sales preferred

·        Familiarity with packaging requirements for perishable and consumable products

·        Supply chain & logistics sales experience preferred

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other MS applications as required

·        Prior experience using a CRM platform for sales, marketing, or account management; experience with Salesforce is a plus
